Une vue de la cérémonie d'intronisation du nouveau roi.
C'est désormais la guerre de leadership au sein de la communauté Mpongwé. Après l’intronisation contestée en décembre 2019, du roi Maindo Berre, les membres de la communauté en désaccord avec ce qu’ils qualifient d’usurpation ont intronisé, le samedi 22 février dernier, un autre roi en la personne de Jules Adiahenot Rogandji. Une intronisation qui ouvre désormais la porte à un bicéphalisme au sein de la communauté. Qui de Maindo Berre et d’ Adiahenot Rogandji détient la légitimité et la légalité pour diriger la communauté ?
Pour certains membres de la chefferie, après le décès du chef R'Okatimando, les affaires courantes étaient jusqu’ici gérées par son fils avant d’ouvrir le processus de désignation par toute la communauté d’un nouveau chef. Seulement voilà, contre toutes attentes, un groupe soupçonné de jouer le jeu de certaines personnalités politiques au pouvoir, va unilatéralement décider de l’installation de Maindo Berre. Inacceptable, contre-attaquent les partisans de Jules Adiahenot Rogandji qui promettaient d’installer à leur tour le véritable roi à la tête d’Eka. Pour eux, désormais le seul est unique dépositaire de l’autorité suprême n’est autre que Jules Adiahenot.
