Ndemezo'Obiang lors du Dialogue d'Angondje.
La correspondance envoyée le 09 décembre 2019 par René Ndemezo’o Obiang à Ali Bongo pour demander à être nommé Vice-président de la République est frappée du saut de la confidentialité. Curieusement, alors que fusent dans la presse, les informations sur une éventuelle démission de l’ex patron de Démocratie nouvelle du Parti démocratique gabonais, ledit courrier fait le tour des réseaux sociaux. Nul besoin de lire dans le marc de café pour se persuader que cette fuite émane des services de la présidence de la République, lesquels ont voulu démontrer à l’opinion publique le caractère opportuniste et volage de René Ndemezo’o Obiang.
Même si Jonathan Ndoutoume Ngome, l’ancien porte-parole de DN, a tenté de voler au secours de Ndemezo’o Obiang en indiquant que l’information sur l’éventuelle démission était totalement fausse, il ne fait l’ombre d’aucun doute que le Palais en faisant transpirer ce courrier a voulu humilier le natif de Bitam et lui signifier que l’opération de chantage sur fond de menaces voilées ne marche pas et ne marchera pas.
Surtout que l’on découvre dans ce courrier que Ndemezo’o Obiang force quasiment la main à Ali Bongo en justifiant sa proposition de nomination par le fait qu’il a joué un rôle central dans l’apaisement des tensions issues de l’élection présidentielle de 2016 : « Directeur de campagne de votre principal adversaire lors de ce scrutin, j’ai à la tête de mon Parti et entrainant dans mon sillage plusieurs partis de la coalition à laquelle j’appartenais jusqu’alors, accepté courageusement et publiquement de prendre part à ce dialogue, en dépit du flot d’insultes, de calomnies et de menaces contre ma personne et ma famille »
Et de poursuivre dans un nombrilisme extrême : « C’est donc René Ndemezo’Obiang qui, au vu de toute la Nation gabonaise et de l’ensemble de la communauté internationale, a été le principal interlocuteur représentant l’opposition face au Parti majoritaire lors du dialogue historique de 2017. »
Se disant frustré de savoir qu’Ali Bongo avait finalement décidé de promouvoir à ce poste Pierre Claver Maganga Moussavou, Ndemezo’o estime, qu’après que ce dernier ait eu à prendre une autre direction, le poste lui revenait, logiquement. D’autant que Ndemezo’o indique vouloir faire partie du cercle restreint des plus proches collaborateurs d’Ali Bongo. Sauf que trois ans après, la proposition de Ndemezo’Obiang est restée lettre morte. Preuve que les « enfants du Palais » ne veulent s’accommoder d’un homme qui a pour seule ligne politique ; la trahison.
