AGL va investir 20 milliards à Owendo Container Terminal pour l'année 2024.
Le Premier ministre, Chef du gouvernement de transition, Raymond Ndong Sima, a reçu en audience, dans la matinée du mercredi 20 décembre 2023, Olivier De Noray, Directeur Général des solutions portuaires à Africa Global logistics.
Ce dernier, qui se trouve en visite de travail depuis le lundi 18 décembre à Libreville au Gabon, a mis à profit cette audience pour réaffirmer l'engagement de AGL à accompagner les autorités de la transition dans leur volonté d'oeuvrer pour l’essor du Gabon vers la félicité.
Monsieur De Noray a présenté au Premier ministre les activités de l'entreprise au Gabon où elle est présente sur les villes Libreville, Port-Gentil, Franceville, Moanda et Lastourville. Il a également levé un pan de voile sur le plan d'investissement de Owendo Container Terminal pour l'année 2024 et qui se chiffre à plus de 20 milliards de francs CFA. Notamment avec l'acquisition de deux nouveaux portiques de quai et cinq portiques de parque (RTG), pour moderniser l'outil de production et accroître la compétitivité du port d'Owendo. ‘’Nous allons dans les mois à venir doubler la capacité de manutention des bateaux qui arrivent à Owendo’’, a annoncé Olivier de Noray.
Ceci va induire un renforcement des capacités du personnel, composé à 98% de Gabonaises et Gabonais, et une augmentation des effectifs de Owendo Container Terminal, et partant de AGL Gabon qui compte déjà près de 800 emplois directs.
Le Premier ministre, chef du gouvernement de la transition, a réaffirmé l'option prescrite par le Général de brigade Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, Président de la République, Président de la transition, de créer les incitations nécessaires pour rassurer et encourager les investisseurs déjà présents au Gabon et en attirer de nouveaux.
AGL, par la voie de son Directeur Général des solutions portuaires, a rassuré le Premier Ministre quant aux options stratégiques de la direction de l'entreprise visant à renforcer, consolider et étendre la présence de AGL.
